Enzymes are amylase, protease, lipase, and cellulase.  Each enzyme has a specific job, to help digest carbohydrates and starches, protein, fat, and fiber.  Your dog and cat NEED enzymes to effectively use and utilize their food.  

Your pets do not produce enough enzymes to process their food effectively.  Dogs and cats in the wild get the added enzymes they need in the prey diet they hunt.  Today's dogs do not hunt for their meals and most of our domesticated cats live indoors or go outside to play and occasionally catch a mouse or bird.  Our cats and dogs are enzyme deficient.
