We're off to Suhareka/Theranda, Kosovo March 16th for a series of workshops titled Open Talk. In Open Talk youth from the Suhareka/Theranda region will conduct a series of interviews with adults from the community to share their experiences and activities during the war in Kosovo. The interviews recorded and transcribed in Albanian and English, will become the basis for constructing narratives expressed visually through drawings and animation. Open Talk will also be used to initiate a cross-site interactive dialogue and installation between USA, Kosovar, and Western Sahrawi artists, educators and youth. Stay tuned for updates on our website!

According to UNHCR, the number of Syrian refugees has surpassed 2 million, with Lebanon receiving the lion's share, followed by Jordan, Turkey, and Iraq. Government and UN officials and experts on forced migration and humanitarian relief discussed the context and implications of the growing Syrian refugee crisis.

Our partnership with PackH20, Greif Industries, and the Western Sahrawi Refugee camps continues. We are supporting research for the roll-out and use of PackH20 in the free zone and stand-alone containers for the camps.
