Community Update
MARCH 2014
Dear Neighbours,
Thank you for reading through our first official GPCL E-Newletter! We aim to keep residents informed of happenings within the community on an ongoing basis.
Gilmore Park News
Thank you to everyone that contributed to our Silent Auction on February 8 through attendance, donations, and volunteering. We were able to raise over $5000 towards our Playground Relocation Project to Roatan, Honduras!
We would like to hear your thoughts about traffic safety on Glenbrook Blvd. email us at gilmorepark@live.com to join the conversation!
Traffic safety is a concern for many people that attempt to cross Glenbrook Blvd. in our neighbourhood. Strathcona County has recently assisted with snow removal on the corner of Georgian Way and Glenbrook Blvd., as tire tracks were seen on the sidewalk, they also have plans for a traffic study this coming spring.
Mark your calendar - Annual General Meeting - Wednesday, June 18 7pm Location TBD
Phase 2 construction is expected to start this spring in Gilmore Park with the installation of a pathway, berm and additional landscaping. If you missed out on ordering an engraved brick there is a possibility of a second order, if we get 60 orders by the spring. Bricks are $75/ea. email us to be added to the brick request list. BIG plans are underway for a phase 2 construction completion celebration happening in the park later this summer - watch for details!
