Dear Moms and Dads
Welcome to another week!
Can you believe that it is March already? Towards the end of this month the teachers will be putting up rosters to set up appointments with you to discuss your child’s progress. Please look out for them and make every effort to set up a convenient time to chat. These are wonderful times to share information about your child and to hear how they are coping during the school day.
CLASS REP MEETING
Thanks to all our willing and helpful moms and dads who came to our meeting last week. We had a very productive meeting and are looking forward to working together throughout the year. The main topic of discussion was the FHPPS Market Day that will be held at our school on Saturday 12th April. The class reps will be in touch with you all shortly or when they need your assistance.
MARKET DAY AT FHPPS 9am-2pm
Please keep 12th April open and remember to join us at school for a fun filled day of craft tables, good food and fun activities for the children. We will need parents to help man tables on the day and we will need assistance in the upcoming weeks. We will be in touch.
*We have space for 50 crafters including 5 food stalls-if you know of anyone who would like to have a stall please ask them to chat to us in the office-R150/table
PHOTOS
Wow the photos are gorgeous!!!!!!

They have been put up outside my office, on the sliding door. And envelops have been put into your child’s message pockets. Last chance to order. Your orders must be in the office by Wednesday 5th March.
CHILDREN’S BIRTHDAYS
Please only send in one special treat for the class when it is your child’s birthday. No party packs Please!
FOOD PARCELS
It has come to our attention that there are families amongst us that are really struggling financially and are battling to put food on the table. We would like to extend a hand of generosity if it is possible, by donating tinned and non-perishable food stuffs. Donations can be left in the Mandela Box and I will distribute as needed.
OPEN DAY
We will be having our Open Day on Saturday 15th March from 9am-11am. This is for prospective parents, those who are interested in sending their children to our school or who would like to view our school. Please let friends and family know about this day so that they too can have a share of our fabulous school and all that it has to offer our children.
The school will be set up so that the children can do some art activities and play in our fantastic garden, while their parents chat to the teachers and learn more about our school.
MY SCHOOL CARD
Please support our school by getting a ‘My School Card’. We will do all the necessary submission etc. We just need you to fill out the forms that are avaliable in the office. This a very easy way of getting funds for our school. Please support!
FEBRUARY FEES ARE NOW DUE
Please make sure that your fees are kept up to date. Due to a high level of unpaid fees last year, the Board of Governors are determined not to let this happen again this year. Contact the office if you have any queries.
GRADE R PARENTS
Please make sure that you apply as soon as possible to the local school for your child for Grade 1 in 2015.
Don’t delay!
Please follow up and chat to me, Lisa Pedersen or your child’s teacher if you have any queries or concerns.
FACEBOOK
Please note that the teachers will only be putting photos up on facebook once a week.
Any parent who does not want their child’s photos to appear on facebook needs to let their teacher know.

It is cut up and shared amongst the class just before story time!
