CCF TO WELCOME MARNI SOUPCOFF AS NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Toronto, ON: It is with a mixture of sadness and gratitude for his dedication, that the Canadian Constitution Foundation (CCF) announces the departure of Chris Schafer, Executive Director. "After more than three years of innovation and accomplishment, the CCF will miss Chris's conscientious and principled leadership," said Mark Mitchell, Chairman of the board. "He led a range of significant achievements since 2010 and provided great service on behalf of all Canadians." Chris will continue his significant contribution to both the organization and to civil liberties as a member of the CCF Advisory Board.

The CCF is pleased to announce Marni Soupcoff as the organization's new Executive Director. Marni will commence her new role on March 28, 2014. A graduate of Stanford Law School, a former attorney at the Institute for Justice, and a long-time newspaper, blog and television commentator, Marni brings a strong history of advancing the cause of liberty through law and journalism. She has been involved with the CCF from its infancy, including serving as a member of the Board of Directors, and will be an invaluable addition to freedom's defence team as it moves forward with its mission to protect the constitutional rights of Canadians.

The Canadian Constitution Foundation (“Freedom’s Defence Team”) is a registered charity, independent and non-partisan, whose mission is to defend the constitutional freedoms of Canadians through education, communication and litigation.
