Electronics Recycling Events and Other Special Recycling Collections
 
SINGLE DAY SPECIALITY COLLECTIONS __________________
Several CVWMA member localities are offering Saturday electronics and other speciality recycling collection events. You can recycle most any electronic with a plug! Televisions may require a fee to recycle; other electronics items, no charge unless noted. Contact your locality directly for fee information and other specifics about the upcoming speciality and electronics collection events as well as permanent electronics collection sites.

Saturday, March 29
West End Assembly of God (WEAG), 401 N. Parham Rd.
10 am - 1 pm
Electronics recycling and document shredding. There is a $7 fee to recycle TVs. Bring up to 2 boxes (10"x13"x18") OR 3 paper grocery bags for shredding. Download event flyer here.

Chesterfield Southern Convenience Center
6700 Landfill Drive

9:30 am - 1 pm

Electronics recycling only. Limit on TVs/Monitors. Click here for fee info (For Chesterfield Residents ONLY)

Powhatan Fairgrounds

4042 Anderson Highway
8 am - 12 noon
Electronics, tires (limit 10 standard car tires per household), and appliances. There is a $7 fee to recycle TVs. Check with County staff directly for other fee information, if applicable.

8:30 am - 1 pm

Prince George County offering Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection at two locations. Click here for list of accepted items. This event does not include electronics recycling as the County offers a permanent electronics collection trailer at its convenience center. (For Prince George Residents ONLY)

Mechanicsville Solid Waste Convenience Center

10 am - 2 pm
Electronics recycling, Household Hazardous Waste Collection (no paints), document shredding, and Prescription Drug Take-Back. There is a $7 fee to recycle unwanted TVs. Check with Hanover County staff for fee information for any of the other collections, if applicable.)(For Hanover County Residents ONLY)

CVWMA's electronics recycling program helps citizens properly dispose of unwanted equipment instead of landfilling them where they could cause soil, water or air contamination. CVWMA and select member governments have coordinated the listed electronics recycling opportunities for residents in central Virginia.   Televisions may require a fee to recycle; other electronic items , no charge, unless noted. ACCEPTED ITEMS and FEES
Most anything with a plug is accepted at no charge. Please note that some collection events have a $7 fee for televisions.  Televisions require special handling due to the leaded glass and mercury they contain. Check with your local government directly for fee information.
