The Iowa Humanities Festival welcomes Iowans to explore significant themes through the lens of the academic and public humanities. Presenters from Iowa colleges, universities, museums, libraries, and archives as well as the venues highlight rich tradition of the humanities in Iowa.
Two faculty members from Iowa State will be presenting: John Warne Monroe (above left), Associate Professor of History and Neil Nakadate (above right), Professor (Emeritus) of English. The Alliance for the Arts in Research Universities (a2ru) invites proposals for panels, breakout sessions, creative submissions and posters for its 2014 national conference hosted by Iowa State University, November 5-8, 2014. Faculty, administrators, staff, and students from any discipline who engage in arts-integrative interdisciplinary efforts are welcome to participate.
