Recipes for Repair Freezer

Yesterday I discussed my freezer:). In the blog post I mention using freezer safe jars. You can find Ball canning jars at hardware and garden supply stores. I get mine at Agway.

Check out Ball's web site to see which jars are freezer safe. The wide mouth one quart jars that you see on my freezer door aren't actually freezer safe, but because I am storing dry goods in them, they are ok. I have made the mistake of putting fluids in them and then freezing the jar to find a huge mess the next day.

The reason that I use glass jars over plastic containers is that  I am afraid that chemicals will leach out into our food. Of course, use what you are most comfortable with.
