Thanks for all the players who showed us some great rugby on Saturday, it was a little hectic for some but we got out of the day what we wanted. I wanted to clear up some details, we stress keeping the day familiar for our players, and since we know what a normal day is for them M-F, we try to never leave for anything before 7am, as coaches we see value in 30 more minutes of sleep vs more time to warm up. Add into that the schedule being changed around on us several times, and trying to coordinate 3 teams carpooling, we appreciate the level of understanding we received from parents. There won't be too many more days like that in the future. Both of our players who visited the ER on Friday are doing well and resting, there were no severe injuries. I want to thank our coaches and parents for helping in both situations, and want to remind everyone that our coaches are trained on how to handle these types of situations, and I think that Coach Shane and Courtney did a wonderful job.
We are going to stay at Shoaff Park this week and allow Northwood more time to dry up.
Boys Schedule
Week of March 24
Monday: Study Hall 3:45-4:30 and Fun Run 4:30-5:00
Tuesday and Thursday: Practice 4-6pm, at Shoaff Park in the meadow near the pavilion. Cleats and Mouthpieces, meet upper classmates in the SAC for a ride.

Recommendations, Policy updates, and Scheduling.
- DO NOT schedule doctor’s appointments or work shifts during practice times or game days – in season, school comes first, rugby second.
- Players who have unexcused absences from team activities will accrue additional conditioning for the team during the following practice.
- For necessary absences, Coach Sam or Coach Amber should be notified, via email, in advance. Players are expected to contact coaches as far in advance as possible and no less than 3 days before anticipated absence.
- If players miss multiple “excused” or “unexcused” practices, playing time for upcoming games will be limited due to lack of preparation. This policy is aimed not to punish players, but to benefit the team.
- Developmental and JV players are expected at Tuesday and Thursday weekly activities as well as games.
- Schedule is subject to small changes. Notification will be sent via email, will be posted to the Ignatius rugby website, and to the rugby Facebook group.

We want to make protective gear easy to obtain for our players, below is a chart for World Rugby Shop gear that we can get at a discount. Pick out what you want, write a check to the club and put it with a note, send it with your player to practice and we will do the rest.
