This September, Cake Productions will present the New York premiere of THIS LINGERING LIFE, a play by Chiori Miyagawa (whose play I Came to Look for You on Tuesday got rave reviews last fall at La Mama).
We're proud to present THIS LINGERING LIFE at HERE Arts Center, opening September 12.

I'm acting in & co-producing the show. We've launched a KICKSTARTER campaign to raise $5,000 of the budget -- and we need to meet that goal by June 20 to receive any of that funding.
Any amount you could pledge would be a HUGE help. If you are in New York, a $50 donation gets you a ticket to Cake's 5th Anniversary Gala on Wednesday, June 18th at the Friend of Cake special price!
We'll have passed hor d'oeuvres from Bottino & others, open bar & a whiskey tasting, live music from award-winning singer/songwriter Nick Deutsch & American Idol's Marissa Pontecorvo and more!
Click on this Kickstarter link or the poster above -- thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer!
ABOUT THE PLAY:
At turns poignant and hilarious, This Lingering Life looks at the human condition through the Buddhist concept of Karma and explores the deep human desire to create meaning out of circumstances and suffering. Taking place in the present time (except when it, you know, happens in an ancient era) This Lingering Life follows the journeys of a woman with tragic hair, feudal warriors, a mother whose son was kidnapped, a blind beggar, dead lovers, a pathetic old man in love with a teenager, a boy whose father is an arrow, and other sentient beings as they seek answers to Life’s biggest questions.

I am excited to be working with Route 66 Rodeo again on Alison Crane's latest play, Coyote Katie's Return. I play a doctor in the psych ward who is doggedly determined to see science triumph. Find us in this year's FringeNYC. The festival runs August 8-24, show dates TBA.
