GaMEP Awarded Manufacturing Grant

The GAMEP has won a one year federal government pilot grant called MTAC (Manufacturing Technology Acceleration Center), to investigate technology transfer needs of the Southeastern US Automobile Manufacturers and its Supply Chain. The grant was exclusively for MEP’s to pilot methods for technology transfer. Working with the MEP’s in the states of Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and South Carolina, the Georgia pilot’s goal is to look at technology (push) needed for automobile manufacturers and technology needs (pull) of the automobile supply chain.
