Recipes for Repair Pantry

a photo of what's inside a recipes for repair cabinet

When we first started the 60 Day Challenge I suggested that you slowly start ridding your pantry and refrigerator of foods that are not on the diet. Additionally, I said it was a good idea to slowly restock with more nourishing food and products.

I thought it may help to give you a snapshot of what my kitchen cabinets and refrigerator look like. Today is the first image and several more will follow in upcoming daily emails.

This is the inside look of the cabinet that stores my oils, vinegar, tamari and liquid sweetener.
  • What you see are staples in my kitchen. Sadly they come at a hefty price so I am always on the hunt for sales and when they come around I stock up.

  • I have two bottles of raw apple cider vinegar that I bought during a great sale on Vitacost.com.

  • The large coconut oil was bought half off during an excellent sale at a local health food store. The smaller bottles of coconut oil were bought for only $5.99 at my favorite close out store – Ocean State Job Lots. The organic olive oil also came from that store and is only $6.99 per bottle. It's almost time to go back and by 3 more bottles.

  • As you can see I no longer have any oils or other cooking supplies that are not allowed on the diet, making it impossible for me to use a less than ideal choice.
