THE TORQUE TUNER
This is a simple and very cost effective way to significantly increase the performance of your BMW. Called the Torque Tuner, it’s a small electronic device that is just plugged into your car.
I’ve been testing the Torque Tuner out on our own vehicles for a while now and I’ve been very impressed. The first time I used it on our X3 20d, I couldn’t believe the effect it had on the performance and acceleration, and the bonus is that it didn’t affect the fuel consumption!
The way it works is actually very clever. It essentially ‘tricks’ your engine into thinking you’re accelerating more than you really are. This opens the throttle more quickly, bringing the power – or rather, the torque – down to where you use it most, such as when taking off, driving up steep winding roads or towing boats etc.
Because there’s no computer programming required, it only takes around 20 minutes to install the Torque Tuner. The total cost is $595.00 and you’ll be pleased to know it can be easily removed and fitted to your next BMW.
After doing a lot of research and investigation into this product, I can assure you that it’s safe and reliable and won’t affect any part or system on your vehicle, including your warranty.

 The Torque Tuner
PERFORMANCE PROGRAMS / TUNES
Unlike the Torque Tuner, Performance Tunes involve changing the program inside the engine computer to enhance the power and torque by altering the engine timing, amount of fuel and turbo boost amongst other things.
Why the need to change the program?
The power of standard engines will always be compromised because manufacturers tune engines to take into account the minimum octane fuel the country uses; in Australia’s case, it’s 91 octane. To tune an engine to allow it to use low octane fuel unfortunately reduces engine performance. So, by tweaking the program to increase the timing advance, deliver more fuel and in the case of turbo engines, extra boost, the performance is increased.
Performance Tunes are designed to increase power with little or no change to fuel consumption. However it’s important to note that 98 octane fuel would always have to be used once the new program is installed. The average power increase for a turbo engine is 15% and a non-turbo is about 5%.
Our Performance Tunes are simply uploaded to the engine computer via flash programming, meaning there are no physical alterations required.

CTEK BATTERY CHARGER
This is a superb product for people who drive their car infrequently or own boats, caravans or are planning a long overseas holiday and are sick and tired of replacing expensive batteries!
As many of you would know, batteries need to be used and re-charged often otherwise they go flat and can even prematurely fail. The CTEK Battery Charger is a compact device which can be used as a normal battery charger or can even be permanently connected and mounted inside the vehicle.
When a vehicle is used infrequently or not going to be used for a while, all you do is connect the charger to a 240v mains plug and leave it alone.
