The shop is filling up with some exciting new things that we can't wait to tell you about.  We have a brand new yarn from Blue Sky, as well as a deluxe new needle line from Signature Needle Arts that folks just can't keep their hands off of.  In order to make room for these fun new things, and what is sure to arrive when Julie returns from TNNA; we are clearing out our storage closets and will have some amazing savings to share with you at our SALE at the end of the month.

We'll be featuring a new trunk show from Manos del Uruguay that will fill the shop with beautiful samples until the end of the month.  Check our Facebook page and blog for photos and details.

And we have a few new staff members that will delight you!  Kimberly comes to us from the Fiber program at CSU with years of experience in all kinds of crafting.  And Annette will be joining our teaching staff to bring some eagerly anticipated crochet expertise.  Check our new class listings below and on our website for more information.

We look forward to seeing you soon.
Extra, Extra!  Get it here first!

We are very proud to be among some the the first yarn stores in the country to carry Blue Sky Alpacas Extra.  This yarn is going to be introduced at TNNA next month, and so is not yet in the database on Ravelery.

But you can come to the shop to see it in person!  It is truly something special, a beautiful blend of Aran weight 50% baby alpaca and 50% fine merino wool. Extra has extra yardage, extra twist, and is available in a palette of 14 rich colors. The generously sized hanks—218 yards—are perfect for all kinds of fun accessories.

We have every color in stock, but we may not for long...Julie learned from the folks at Blue Sky that they've are already sold out of the first run of this yarn.  Let's hope that they are working hard to make more.
Manos' Serena Trunk Show

We are gong to be receiving a long-awaited package this week!  The folks at Manos del Uruguay have a trunk show of items knit up with their Serena yarn that we'll be able to share with you all month long.

Serena is their beautiful hand dyed sport weight blend of 60% baby alpaca and 40% pima cotton.  Each 50 gram skein contains 170 yards; and Ravelry has pages of project ideas that are sure to tempt you to cast on right away.

Stop on by the shop to see if the samples we'll be featuring move to the top of your list!

Easter Bunny Kits

Who wouldn’t want a darling hand-knit bunny in their basket?  This is Henry's Bunny, a FREE Ravelry pattern that will be a quick knit in the few weeks remaining before the holiday at the end of the month.

These little guys will hop right off your needles in no time at all. Knit in the round, they are made entirely in one piece except for the legs, which are seamed to the bottom.

We have kitted up some mini skeins of rabbit colored Pediboo Worsted yarn that will create a one of a kind Easter gift.  The yarn, pattern, and white roving for the tail, is all yours for just $8.

Give us a call at the shop at 970-407-1461 if you feel like you need to make a bunny.  These kits are hopping out of here quickly!
Top Secret Knitting Project

The photo above is just a teaser, the details of what we are bombing is still under wraps.  But we are looking a few good crafters for the Top Secret Yarn Bombing project that we started last month.

There is a great deal of knitting yet to be done and we would love your help.  You can join us at any of the Tuesday Night Knit Nights this month, or stop by the shop to pick up a FREE project bag that will provide you with the yarn and instructions you need to work on your own.  All of our knitting is due in May, so there is no time to waste!
