President's Message:

May is arriving soon! That means the 2013-14 General Membership year is coming to a close. It has been a wonderful year for ZaCSA. A hearty thank you to both the General Membership and Executive Board for your commitment to making ZaCSA a thriving and growing social and service opportunity for the Camp Zama Community.

Over 80 ladies from our Japanese Friendship Groups will attend the ZaCSA Thank You Lunch on May 21! The activities with these groups are always a highlight of our time with ZaCSA. A Hawaiian Style Thank You Luncheon is planned to show them a good time and let them know how much we appreciate their contributions to our group. Click the volunteer link to sign-up to bring a dish (recipes are provided) and lend a hand the day of the event. All ZaCSA members are invited, especially if you have attended a Friendship Group event. Your volunteer time in making food and helping the day of the event is needed.
A special thank you to the members of Hui o' Hawaii who will be performing at the event and providing desserts.

This is our last opportunity to be together as a group this year, please don't miss it!

ZaCSA's East Meets West remains open with summer hours. Continue your support of ZaCSA with frequent visits and by introducing new Camp Zama members to this great resource within our community. Some of the other groups may also remain active during the summer - Gourmet Lunch Bunch, Piece Makers, and Knit One Pearl Two. To remain active, members need to maintain their ZaCSA membership during the summer by signing-up for the 2014-15 Membership Year. Forms can be found at East Meets West beginning June 1, with the new reduced membership fee of $20.

Have a wonderful, relaxing, and safe summer!

Yours Truly,
Beth van Kan
President, ZaCSA
