Here’s a classic SQ story for you. After performing one night in a dive bar just outside of LA, a great guy named John walked up to me and asked why I was not in Nashville. He went on to say that he thought I would do well there and to call him if I ever made it to Music City. Cut to a few years later, I did move to Nashville and I did call John and soon after he introduced me to one of the most successful songwriters in the business, Kelley Lovelace, one of the co-writers of “Sugar High.”
