Online Ticketing Available Now!

March 2014

Message from the Editor
Volume 2: Edition 3

March is traditionally the month of St. Paddy's Day, NCAA March Madness, the Spring Equinox (first day of spring is March 20), the notorious "Ides of March" and is generally characterized as the month that "roars in like a lion and goes out like a lamb." This March it's not the weather doing the roaring, it's Pinewood Players "roaring" about their new online ticketing capability! Check out the information in this month's newsletter, then go to our web site and give it a try for yourself. Although some may still prefer the traditional methods of purchasing tickets, the online capability provides an additional option for those who do like the convenience of purchasing and receiving tickets via the internet. No matter your preference, both season tickets and individual play tickets are now on sale. Be sure to get yours while a wide range of seating choices are still available.

Online Ticketing System Up and Running

The Pinewood Players online ticketing system officially became operational as of March 1, 2014. You may now purchase tickets for individual performances and season tickets via our web site. Just go to the web site www.pinewoodplayers.com and click on the "Buy Tickets" icon on the Home Page or click on the "Buy Tickets Now" button in the sidebar of this newsletter to go directly to the Buy Tickets page where you may choose from several options including purchasing individual performance tickets or season ticket packages online. You will also have the option to download a ticket mail order form. To begin your online ticket purchase experience just click on your choice and follow the four easy steps to process your order and purchase your tickets online. A convenience charge of $1.50 per ticket is added for online purchases and applies to both season tickets and individual performance tickets. If you purchase a season ticket package you will enjoy the season package discount of $6 per season ticket package. Each season ticket package includes one ticket for each of the three adult performances. Individual performance tickets are available to purchase online for all three adult performances plus the Kidz Kamp and Tween Camp recitals. Once tickets are purchased you will be prompted to print your tickets directly from the web site on your home printer. You will also receive an email with links to enable you to reprint your tickets if you should need to do so at a later time. If you prefer the convenience of purchasing your tickets online, give the new system a try. Then provide your feedback by clicking on the Suggestions button in the sidebar of this newsletter and tell us about your experience. If you have questions about how to purchase tickets online, by mail or at the box office you may contact our Ticket Manager, Dovie Templin at (623) 680-3369.

Mystery Solved!

Who's the Bravest of them All?

In her article explaining the new online ticketing system (linked from last month's newsletter and currently posted on the web site home page) Kathy Abramowitz posed the question "So who will be brave and try this new service first?" Well, thanks to our illustrious President, Les Maurseth, we now know the answer to the riddle. In reviewing the reports from initial web site ticket purchases, Les, being the A-1 sleuth (and former auditor) that he is, was able to ascertain the winner and brave soul who threw caution to the wind and was first to use the online ticketing system. He has revealed that it was none other than Kassie Walters! Kassie purchased multiple tickets for all five 2014 Season Theatre in the Pines productions (three adult plays and two Drama Camp recitals) and in doing so, Kassie has forever solidified her place in Pinewood Players history and folklore as the pioneer of online ticket purchasers and earned the right to be called "The Bravest Patron of them All!"  Methinks a presentation may be in order once court is convened in Munds Park this season. Congratulations, Kassie and thanks for taking the lead and showing us how easy and simple it is to purchase tickets online for Pinewood Players performances this season.

Director Doug Pusateri puts
"Local Spin" on Noel Coward Classic

Director Doug Pusateri is taking artistic license in his production of the Noel Coward classic "Blithe Spirit" by changing the location of the play to Munds Park, AZ and "localizing" the dialog to set the play into our community in present time. The original play was set in England in the 1940's. Doug's update sets the stage in a "palatial" cabin in Munds Park, complete with a "Medium" from Sedona and other local nuances that are guaranteed to add a hometown flavor and max out the laugh meter. We are all anxious to see just how Doug Pusateri meets Noel Coward in the Pinewood Playhouse, but we will have to wait until June 13 for opening night of "Blithe Spirit" ala Munds Park. Don't miss it!
