IKBS – Ikoma Korth Bearing System

Rather than the blade rotating against washers, a race is machined into the liner where ball bearings are placed. The blade then rotates on the ball bearings allowing the blade to rotate with minimal resistance while retaining zero side to side blade play. Kirby Lambert

“I have always enjoyed working with my hands and being a creative person. I attended school at the University of Calgary where I studied fine art and took many classes in drawing, printmaking and sculpture. This along with my fascination of knives paved the way for me to become a full-time knifemaker. 

The majority of knives I make are tactical/utility folding knives and are bought by collectors as well as military and law enforcement officers who use them in the field.

I believe that a knife should not only look good but should be functional as well. That is why I only use top grade materials such as titanium, carbon fiber, G10 and specialty steels such as CPM 154CM.

I began making knives in 1994 and have been a full-time knifemaker since 2002. In that time, I have achieved many goals. I have been featured in a number of publications such as Blade magazine, American Handgunner, Tactical Knives and Excalibur, as well as being featured on the cover of Blade magazine.
