March Puppy & Beginning Dog Training Classes

Happy St. Patrick's Day & the Spring Equinox!
Here is a bit of Celtic lore to add to your hat...
Hounds were sacred to the faeries and folks of Ireland and Scotland and thus were held in very high regard in both Celtic lands. Class location will be in West Redding, at the First Christian Church, 3590 Placer St., Redding (on the corner of Placer and Buenaventura across from the Fire Station & Holiday Market Shopping Center) (We strongly suggest during daylight hours you drive by the location and familiarize yourself with the entrance as it can be tricky at night)

Both Classes Meet for 1 hour & 15 minutes, on Monday & Thursday for 3 Weeks (for a total of 6 sessions).

Family Members are encouraged to come, though we encourage that only one family member works with the dog each session.

Vaccinations Requested:

Puppies: DHLP-Parvo at least first 2 sets, & Bordetella

Dogs 6 months and older: DHLP-Parvo, Rabies, & Bordetella

Class Fee: $95.00

Family that Works Together, Stays Together: Bring more than one dog in the family & when both take the class together with two handlers you both get discounts!
Invite a Friend & their dog and you both will get a discount!
Get a Tune-up: Not quite ready for the next class level, then repeat the class & improve your skills

Puppy Socialization & Training
(10 wks. - 4 mos.)

Classes Start:
Monday, March 24th, @ 5:30 p.m.

These group puppy classes include puppy playtime, basic beginning obedience commands (sit, down, come, wait at the door, leave it, off/no jumping, walking on a loose leash), problem-solving ideas, socializing, house-training, chewing, teething, digging and more.

This class will also prepare your puppy to pass the AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Program!

(S.T.A.R. stands for Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsibility)

Family Beginning Dog Training
(6 mos. & older)

Classes Start:
Monday, March 24th, @ 7:00 p.m.

These group dog training classes are designed to help socialize and train older puppies and adult dogs, and include basic obedience commands (sit, down, sit/stay, down/stay, stand, stand/stay, heeling, coming when called, focusing & ignoring distractions, off, leave it, wait at the door), good manners, problem-solving ideas for basic behavior problems. Through various group lessons and discussions, you will learn how to successfully communicate with your pet. Dogs 6 months through Senior are welcome.
