Members may start to notice some exciting changes to the EPSA website, with work completed last month giving us the ability to be much more responsive to topics of interest. Details on proposed upcoming changes are held in the news section below, which should provide greater direction to people looking for information on EPSA members.

In what is the first step in an exciting revamp to the website, we would ask all members to review the overall website as a whole and to send any suggestions you may have through to admin@epsa.org.au
Keeping the website and information up-to-date is a priority for EPSA, given the majority of our enquiries generally start there.

In this month's eNews we have also included some information about a new polystyrene foundation system being introduced in Canada, as well as how local producers are using EPS in construction.

If you have any news you would like to share with fellow members, we encourage you to send it through to the above email address.

EPSA website - members display
As mentioned in the last eNews, EPSA has been working on enhancing the website and ensuring members get increased exposure and representation. As a starting point, we would like all members to forward through updated details on the products and services they offer in an effort to update the members section. You can see an example of how it might look in the below image. For those members who do not send this through, we will look to make contact with them in the coming weeks to ensure all members have equal representation.

EPSA website - members only section

As part of the enhancement of the back-end of the website all members should have received new log in credentials for the Members Only section of the website. EPSA is committed to keeping members up-to-date on relevant issues and this area will allow us to do this confidentially. If you have not yet received your new log in details, please be sure to contact us on (03) 6281 2320 or email admin@epsa.org.au.

Building and construction news

Globally, a new polystyrene foundation system is being introduced in Canada, which they believe will address many of the problems they have been facing, but in particular the mould issue apparent in many systems.

The new foundation system, developed by Poly Core Canada, is made from EPS panels for insulation with embedded galvanized steel construction studs for strength. The spacing and gauge/width of the steel studs is customised to meet the engineering requirements of each project.

The new system can be altered for use in walls on the first level of a residence, basement floor panels and general construction, such as warehouses, garages or commercial buildings.

On the home front, EPSA has followed the progression of a housing project in Tasmania, where the owner has constructed the majority of the house out of Polyfoam's PolyWall product. The below images outline the house at different stages of construction.
