Lesson 196: Holy in Our Will, Part 2
Eph.4:18, 2:3 They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
When a believer is born again, our reason is enlightened, our desires are directed toward God, and our will becomes submissive to God.
But not all at once. It is a process of growth over time. God tells us to renew our minds, desire Him, and submit to Him. Rom.12:2
Col.3:1 If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
About This Series
The goal of this series is to become more useful in serving the Lord Jesus Christ, as an instrument in the Redeemer's hand. The theme verses for the series are Ephesians 4:22-24, Philemon 11, 2 Timothy 2:21
- to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,
- and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
- Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.
- Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
