AWESOME APRIL!

Why will April be awesome in RE?

April's theme is Regeneration, a perfect fit for this month's Stewardship focus, as we explore ways to support our church community through pledging and volunteering.

Our elementary-age kids will have a special project this month: making a video about their experience of Home Groups and some of the thematic questions they've wrestled with this year.

We are all excited to share with the congregation how much fun we have had growing together as a community this year!

Here is the exciting schedule. Please try to attend as much a possible.

April 6: Preparing to make a video

Special guest Mary Gardner (who has been a real life TV producer!) will be teaching the kids about the process of making a video and help them start thinking about the questions they'll answer on camera. Youth group hero, Joshua Cross-Barnet will be video taping example sessions.

April 13: Filming the video

Special guest Glenn Ricci (who is a real life videographer at the Library of Congress!) will be filming the kids as they answer interview questions.

April 20 (Easter): Planting flowers

The church will be participating in a project to upgrade the flower garden at Dayspring (on May 3). The kids will be helping this whole community effort by preparing seedlings for planting.

April 27: The big day (plus a party!)

The "Celebration Sunday" church service will include:

• "Enter, Rejoice and Come In" lead by the Sprouts

• The world premiere of our Elementary kids' video

• Teacher appreciation

When the children are released to their classes after time for all ages they will have a party to celebrate on this, our last Sunday of the Church School year.

We hope you'll join us for AWESOME APRIL!
