The curriculum is titled “WhyTry” and is designed to increase student engagement and to reinforce tools needed to be successful and happy in school and in life. Some of the topics covered include decision making and their life impact, how to overcome obstacles, creating a positive support network, and how “desire, time and effort” drive and impact life outcomes. The group meets once a week on Tuesdays during lunch time for a total of 10 sessions. This research-based workshop will provide students with skills to help them become more successful in school. This is a great opportunity for our 6th graders!
