Moving on to Phase 4
In less than 24 hours you will be moving on to the final phase of the diet – Phase 4. Yippee!!
Let's quickly go over what you may have done in the past 2 and a half months.
- Analyze food in a way that you have never done before.
- Learn how to read labels and discover that many packaged foods are filled with refined ingredients, cane sugar, preservatives and sometimes artificial ingredients.
- Assess whether or not convenience food is worth the convenience.
- View food as a source of nourishment and start looking at its beneficial and/or medicinal properties.
- Learn about foods that are new to you.
- Learn how to cook from scratch.
- Discover that there is a link between what you eat and how you feel. I.e. garbage in, garbage out.
- Realize that you have a food sensitivity.
- Provide you and your family with wholesome, nourishing meals.
- Make a commitment to eat real food.
- Put yourself and your health first.
Even if you had some days where you "feel off the wagon" or added a food group in before you should have don't let that take away from your real accomplishment. Making a change, especially a significant change that costs more money and is less convenient is a huge accomplishment!!
As you leave phase 3 and enter phase 4 tomorrow look back over the last two and a half months and recognize what you've done. You've put your health first and that's not something a lot of people have the will power to do! You should be very proud of yourself.
Tomorrow I will be adding back my beloved chocolate! I suspect many of you will be too. In celebration of chocolate and your achievement I will be sending out a recipe for a chocolatey treat tomorrow.
