KERRY NICHOLLS DANCE

WE ARE THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THE LAUNCH OF THE KND PERFORMANCE MENTORING PROGRAMME

Are you 4-5 years into your career and needing some new motivation, input and direction?

WHAT
The KND Performance Mentoring Programme is the first of its kind in the UK – a two-week intensive that boosts freelance dancers mid-career, who are no longer supported by an educational institution, by providing tools to navigate the ever-changing job landscape, including:

  • Rigorous technical training in classical, contemporary and choreography
  • Individual mentoring
  • Audition Techniques and CV direction
  • Voice workshops
  • Teaching skills
  • Yoga classes

Devised and delivered by KND and implemented by a unique team of expert teachers and artists (including Kerry herself), KND will offer mentoring for a further three months after the intensive, to ensure a legacy and supported development.

WHO
Places are available for 15 UK-based professional dancers, who should have graduated at least 4 years ago and come from a strong classical/contemporary background. They will need a high technical ability, an open mind, and an enthusiasm for expanding their skill set.

WHEN
The intensive programme dates:
Monday 11 August – Friday 15 August
and Monday 18 August – Friday 22 August 2014

HOW
For more programme detail and application information visit the Experience KND page:

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - BOOKING IS NOW OPEN FOR THE KND MASTERCLASSES SUMMER 2014!

WHAT
The Experience KND summer masterclass programme 2014 continues the hugely successful artist development phases of December 2012 and summer 2013. Extending KND's vision for high-quality professional training in the UK, it is a further opportunity to work in an exclusive setting with Kerry Nicholls and long-time music collaborator David Walters.

The two-week phase will offer daily professional-level masterclasses. Each professionally-driven morning class will run for two hours, feature live music, and promote restricted numbers for a qualitative experience at a high level.

WHY
Past courses have been such a fantastic experience and regular comments suggest that there is a real hunger for classes pitched at a genuine professional level. Therefore, we will be leading this phase of technically advanced training within a person-centred environment for ten mornings only.

WHO
People who will benefit most from this classes: graduates who have completed vocational training, early career artists and established professional dancers.

WHERE
As last year, the classes will be hosted at the company home of English National Ballet - Markova House, 39 Jay Mews, South Kensington. London SW7 2ES

We are privileged to be able to return to the wonderful upper studio at ENB headquarters which is large, airy and well-equipped. There is access to changing rooms with showers, a green room and kitchen area for our use.

WHEN
Week 1: Monday 11th – Friday 15th August 2014 10.00-12.00

Week 2: Monday 18th – Friday 22nd August 2014 10.00-12,00

There will be time afterwards dedicated to networking and refreshment.

HOW
Pre-book only. Visit www.kerrynicholls.com for full details on class information and booking procedures.

These are the only classes where I feel I really am given value for money in terms of the teaching, music, movement material and space. Your energies are wonderful and I look forward to the next one!
