Northern Ballet April e-newsletter

Following the short but sweet revival of Cleopatra in March, our spring tour continues this month as Cinderella sets off to Hull and Cardiff on the next stops of its first UK tour. Our dancers are also in rehearsal for our Mixed Programme to be performed in London and Leeds, as well as A Midsummer Night's Dream which heads off on tour to three theatres in May, including our first ever visit to Southampton's Mayflower Theatre.


	Our Russian heroine continues her first UK tour this month as our dazzling new Cinderella heads off to Hull New Theatre from 2 – 5 April and then to Cardiff New Theatre from 8 – 12 April.


We've worked with CBeebies once again, this time to film a TV adaptation of Three Little Pigs. The exact date will be announced soon, but it will be first broadcast over Easter so watch this space.


	We will make our first ever visit to the Royal Opera House next month with our Mixed Programme at the Linbury Studio Theatre including the London Première of Kenneth Tindall's Luminous Junc•ture.


Get closer to Northern Ballet with workshops and post-show talks at our tour venues this spring. We also have audio-described performances and insight workshops for the visually impaired.

We've teamed up with Balbir Singh Dance Company, Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Phoenix Dance Theatre, RJC Dance and Yorkshire Dance to show how Leeds is the number one UK city for dance outside of London.

With ground breaking choreography by Jerome Robbins, an unforgettable score by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim including the iconic songs Maria, Tonight, Somewhere, America and I Feel Pretty, West Side Story changed the face of musical theatre for ever.
