Dear Friends
I was looking through some old files the other day when I stumbled upon a piece of paper on which I had scribbled the following:
"A Reiki session slows down the brain so that your non-physical mind can expand and rise into the realms of spiritual and soul consciousness." 
I don't know when I wrote this nor where I got this from but it brought back fond memories of one of my experience on Lake Titikaka during my healing journey to Peru.
 
We were making our way down a hill on Amantani island after visiting one of the many temples; when we encountered one of our fellow traveller leaning against a rock looking in pain, white as a sheet and out of breath; my instinctive reaction was to place my hand on his heart, and almost immediately his breathing came back to normal  and the colours restored to his face. We were all astounded by what had just happened and he asked me what I had done? My stunned reply was “I don’t know!”  and he carried on saying “ sister you have magic in your hands, I was in such pain I could not breath, I thought I was dying and the minute you touched me all was well, you saved my life...”  This was witnessed by another pilgrim who was walking by my side and he also asked what I did, still in awe I explained that I practiced Reiki a form of energy healing that restores harmony in the body mind and spirit but that I had’t thought about that at the time it was the most natural thing for me to touch someone who is in pain. He had never heard of Reiki and was most intrigued so I offered to give him a session when we got back to the hotel that afternnoon.
 
Very soon after I started the session my fellow pilgrim went into a deep state of relaxation, so much so that I thought he was sleeping.  When I had finished I woke him up and he looked at me in a daze and asked: “Why didn’t you tell me you were going to massage my soul?"   
I thought that this was the most profound way to describe a Reiki session, not a day goes by that I don’t give thanks for the gift of Reiki, and the people that this simple system brings into my life. I have been practicing for more than 10 years and each time I am in awe of the human being’s innate ability to heal itself, I feel privileged  to be able to witness life's miracles.  Whenever I have the honour of initiating someone into the Reiki system of healing I still marvel at the wonder of it all…  Something so simple and yet so powerful such is life !

A  few Changes
There are a few changes in the course schedule:
1) There are no Level I Reiki courses scheduled in the near future. Many of you have enquired and expressed the wish to learn, please get in touch and we will schedule a time that is convenient for you and advise the others who may want to join. 

2) The Reiki II course has been moved to Saturday 17 and Sunday 18th of May I trust that these dates are more convenient for you.
