BMO Garden Unveiled!
BMO Financial Group generously donated $1 million to Streetohome Foundation in support of McLaren Housing Society's Howe Street building. Their generosity was a major facilitator in the construction of our new supportive housing facility.
To recognize their commitment, representatives of BMO Financial Group, Streetohome Foundation and McLaren Housing Society celebrated the official unveiling of BMO Garden at 1249 Howe Street. The event was held on December 1, 2013, in honour of World AIDS Day.

World AIDS Day at SFU
Siobhan and Michelle, two of our star staff, attended World AIDS Day at Simon Fraser University. This event aimed to dispel myths and stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS in the SFU community through interactive and informative booths. The McLaren Housing Society display was very popular, as we enticed the students with cupcakes and pens!

Another Successful Score Party Fundraiser
For 15 years the Cutting Edges Hockey Club have held an annual fundraiser and this year’s event, Score 15, held on March 29, was another roaring success. The Cutting Edges kindly allows McLaren Housing Society to run the coat check. We raised close to $700 to support our portable subsidies program which means housing for one person for nearly 2 months!

A Big THANK-YOU to Our Donors!
Each December we send out an appeal, and each year we are blessed with the generosity of our supporters. This past December we raised over $11,000 for our programs and we want to express our extreme gratitude to everyone who donated and to those who continue to support McLaren Housing Society’s vision. It means the world to us and to our participants.
