Children @ First Pres March 1-15, 2014
Dear <<First Name>>,

What a wonderful time of year to remind ourselves of all that has been made new!  From the blooming flowers and budding trees of Spring to the promise of eternal life through Resurrection of Christ, there's so much to be thankful for!

I hope you have a great Holy Week, a wonderful Easter, and a great end to your April!

Peace,
Jonathan Fell

We are so close to having all our Children's Fellowship and Doorkeeper spots filled!  Click the picture above if you're willing to help us finish the year strong!

Sundays from 9-10am
in Education Hall

This (supervised but not overly structured) opportunity for kids is a great way for parents take advantage of an Adult Education class, to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee, and/or share informal conversation with other parents.
Happy Easter!

As I mentioned in a previous email, when I was a kid Easter was one of my favorite holidays. I got new clothes, we got Easter baskets, and then we got to have ham and deviled eggs at Grandma's house. What could have been better?!

As I got older, I still enjoyed all those things, but I also began to enjoy the other, and equally dramatic, days that precede Easter Morning. From sitting around the table with the Disciples on Maundy Thursday to the terrible and dark story of Good Friday there's so much to experience before the light and joy of Easter.

Last time, I also gave a list of great activities to do throughout Holy Week. If you missed it, you can find it HERE. I would also encourage you (especially if you have older kids) to attend either the Maundy Thursday (April 17) or Good Friday (April 18) service this year; both begin at 7pm.  And as always, I'm always available if you have questions about either service.

Otherwise, we'll see you on Easter morning for worship (9 or 11am), breakfast (10am), and the Easter egg hunt (10:30am)!

Please Note: There will be
NO Sunday School on Easter, April 20.
All families are encouraged to worship together. And don't forget about the Easter Egg Hunt
at 10:30 in Central Park!
Godly Play (PreK-2nd)
On April 27, we will look at the Easter story one last time by looking at different kinds of crosses from all over the world.
We Believe (3rd-5th)
On April 27th, our We Believers will finish the month by taking a deeper look at the Easter story. Then, we move into hearing stories of "Good News" told throughout the Bible.
Club 56: A New Group for 5th and 6th Graders
Coming Fall 2014

Club 56 is a new "JV" youth group of sorts for 5th and 6th graders! It will be structured very similarly to our Middle School and Senior High Youth programs, only it would be tailored to the unique needs of Tweens (they're not quite teenagers, but they're not really little kids either). As such, our weekly programming (themes/topics & activities) will be age appropriate for such a group.

And as we start making some preliminary plans, we want to hear from you and your families! Especially if you're the parent of our current 4th and 5th graders!

Please take this short survey and let me know your thoughts! At the end of the survey you'll see a spot for questions. Responses will go directly to me so ask away. Otherwise, your'e always welcome to get in touch with me directly.
