With Dauwd, one of UK's most promising talents joins the Kompakt fold. After remixing COMA's "My Orbit" last year, the London-based producer continues to move into new musical territory with "Kindlinn", a lushly orchestrated journey drawing on infectious rhythms and epic melodies. Three colourful cuts see him moving further away from the UK sound he's originally become known for and reinventing himself as a virtuoso of propelling house and romantic techno. Luminaries as diverse as Gilles Peterson, Caribou or Nick Hoeppner already sang his praise, with early releases on Pictures Music and Ghostly International introducing eager crows to the rich sonic tapestry that the prodigy is weaving in his studio. It's where he masterfully stitches together disparate musical influences while remaining utterly focussed on a genuine artistic vision - available now on 12".
What's more, Cómeme welcomes Buenos Aires-based duo Carisma with their "Directamente" EP. Since three years, Carolina Stegmayer and Ismael Pinkler have been delivering these tracks directly (directamente) from their flat through the city's dark alleys to its underground venues - producing music to play right away, written in a dialogue between studio and booth. It's this palpable feeling of raw energy that makes the record stand out, drawing on deep disco madness and deliciously rattling percussion - out now on 12". And then, there's D.O.C. - Gui Boratto's imprint goes next level with its second release following Elekfantz' massive "Diggin' On You": Brazilian duo Shadow Movement presents the "I.d." EP, a glamorous and propelling affair spread on two luminescent tracks ready for nocturnal action - get it on coloured vinyl here.
Have a great weekend! |
