What's that Squeak?
Home ownership has its benefits. When I think of them, I will let you know.

Appliances are especially good places for sonic inspiration, and while the water heater (which recently had to be replaced) didn't have much to say, the GE clothes dryer was another matter.
Enjoy this little experiment...

The bass is back...

Many know me as a guitarist and singer, and that is still one of my favorite activities, but many may not know that my first instrument was bass guitar, and later string bass (starting with The Hazleton Philharmonic, and later Bloomsburg University-Community Orchestra). While I've kept up with electric bass on my albums and playing jazz/blues with Negodniki, I have not really kept up with string bass since my stint with Bodo Band. Well, thanks to local maker Mark Doncheski, I'm now the proud owner of one of his handmade string basses, and enjoying the doublebass once again. Looking forward to using it on some upcoming projects, including some recording with Paul Loomis - more on that soon!

Bloomsburg Synthesizer Meetup

Our next gathering will be on Thursday April 10. We may have a Cubase or FruityLoops demo this month. See the meetup site for full details if you'd like to get involved. Please RSVP so you can get group updates, including those relating to any bad weather that may impact the event.

Electro Experiments

Anyone else out there experimenting with microcontrollers (Arduino or otherwise)? Interested in getting together to make crazy gadgets? If so, or if you know someone who is into this sort of thing (sounds like a pick up line, I know) then let me know!

Also, if you are a programmer or into software development, check out the Coffee & Code Meetup

You never know...

Even my Subaru didn't completely save me from spinning around twice on the slushy morning of April Fool's Day on the way to the office. Thanks to the three guys who stopped by to check on me, and to push me out. Thanks also to whatever forces kept away the oncoming traffic and helped me miss hitting anything. Scary.
