HIGHLIGHT

Taking On and Taking Over – Video

SSCR-funded study Taking On and Taking Over led by colleagues at the Social Policy Research Unit, University of York, presented a video for practitioners highlighting key messages from the research at Community Care Live 2014 this week.

This study focused on physically disabled young adults and those with chronic, complex or degenerative health conditions (but without learning disabilities) and aimed to identify what support is needed and provided for them to achieve their aspirations for choice and control over their support arrangements. The video was produced to highlight key messages for practitioners, and is an excellent example of engagement with those best placed to implement research findings.
