Two and a half months ago we left Spain to begin a year’s furlough in the USA. We never tire talking about God's global mission and church planting in Spain. Still, traveling from place to place each week means we are only briefly in each location and consequently, interactions are limited. Is effectiveness limited?
Some experiences this month addressed this issue:
On a Wednesday night Steve’s message directly answered the nagging doubts of a young lady in the congregation who is called into missions but was struggling as she waits on His timing.
We received this Facebook message: “I am so blessed to be on ur update list. I used to serve u both coffee at blue planet café in 2010. I have since graduated from a discipleship program for women. God has changed my life in the last year u guys have been on my heart. U r doing a mighty work for God bless u. ya'll were such nice customers.”
The church plant in Montornés, Spain sent us the news that a month after we left, one of the women has organized a weekly ladies Bible study that reaches out to unchurched women!
Remember the phrase: “Bloom where you’re planted”? That’s really the bottom line – live to be a blessing in every situation and leave the results to God.

Traveling protection and stamina (we’ll be on the road in New Mexico, West TX and Colorado for the next 3 weeks)
New monthly pledges
Peace of heart for both of our 90-year-old mothers as they consider our return to Spain
