WHERE IS TIMID THOM?

"A candidate who is too afraid of a face-to-face conversation with voters isn't the right man for the job."

Raleigh, NC –  U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Greg Brannon released the following statement regarding Timid Thom's lack of respect for Republican primary voters:

"As a candidate for the U.S. Senate I’m interviewing for a job.

Elected officials work for the people and the first thing that should be expected of any candidate before being offered a job is to actually show up for the interview.

Since November there have been eight candidate forums put together by various organizations across the state and Timid Thom has successfully avoided every single one.

Timid Thom was missing in action at forums hosted by The Gaston County Tea Party, Conservatives for Guilford County, and The Forsyth County Republican Party.

He didn’t even to bother to participate in a forum hosted by the Lake Norman Conservatives in January that was held less than 10 minutes from his house!

In February we heard that Timid Thom is “chomping at the bit” to debate.

Since then he’s been able to avoid tough questions at forums hosted by The Republican Women of Cary and Southwest Wake, The Cumberland County Republican Men’s Club, The Greater Guilford Republican Women’s Club, and The Rowan County Tea Party.

Chomping at the bit? After seven years in public office, you’d think Tillis’ shaky knees and butterflies would be gone.

You have to wonder why Timid Thom isn’t taking this race seriously.

Could it be that he's fearful of explaining to voters why he led the effort in the state house to implement Obamacare by passing state exchanges?

Maybe he doesn't want to explain to Republican primary voters why he thinks Obamacare is a "great idea that can't be paid for."

Timid Thom sure has a lot of questions to answer but time is running out.

After all, whoever wins the primary in May will be tasked with representing conservative values to millions of North Carolinians.

If he’s too fearful to show up to candidate forums and talk about the issues with fellow Republicans, why should anyone believe he will have the courage to face Senator Hagan in the general election?

This Senate race could change the course of our nation’s future, and the Republican Party needs a nominee who isn’t afraid to answer tough questions.

We must nominate a candidate with the guts to stand up to the establishment in Washington and demand that North Carolina voters be heard.

A candidate who’s too afraid of a face-to-face conversation with voters isn’t the right man for the job.
