Meet One of Our Volunteers

Hi!  I'm Jennifer Zelman.  I've been proud to be a Seed Programs International volunteer since the spring of 2012.  I enjoy having lots of variety in my work, so for SPI I've done everything from outreach to social media to data entry to graphics/artwork. It is gratifying and exciting to see the positive results of the seeds we send out into the world.  I especially love pictures and stories of well-fed and smiling children! It's really nice to feel like a part of the global family.

2014 So Far

With your help, we've provided more than 60,000 seed packets to 9 countries. These include:
-Seeds for sustainable agriculture demonstration gardens by THARS International's program serving post-war healing among the Twa people in Burundi.
-Seeds for orphans served by the American Foundation for Children with AIDS, in Uganda.
-Seeds for the Mayan school Ak Tenamit in Rio Dulce, Guatemala, brought by Illinois Rotarians.
. . . and many more, these are just three examples of 15 shipments so far in 2014.
