WelcomeGypsy WivesThis month we are doing two blocks: "From the Heart" and "Hope From Hartford". You might also want to start making some of your filler blocks. You can find them starting on the page past the center staple in the book. There are 61 filler blocks so if you make a few each month it won't be so overwhelming at the end. There are a couple months dedicated to filler blocks closer to the end of the BOM too.

The Hope from Hartford block has a partial seam and it might seem a little daunting so I created a tutorial with lots of pictures for you... click here for the PDF.

If you are local check the calendar on the website for the Saturday each month that we will be sewing the Gypsy Wife together. The first one is this Saturday 3/29 from 11am to 1pm. Please RSVP so we can save you space.

What's in my package?

Gypsy Wife Block of the Month

Your third month package includes:

Fabrics to make your second block. They are the same fabrics that we used in our sample. Two fabrics from previous months are repeated in this block. They can be any two you choose. Make it your own :)
A few of the strips that you will use to set your blocks at the end of the BOM. Remember to keep the strips for later.

Why do we send what we send each month?

Did you know we are following a recipe? Jen Kingwell, the designer of the pattern, has set up the BOM and has sent us the exact numbers of fabrics that she uses in her own shop's BOM. We are following her example. This way we make sure that we have the perfect amount of fabrics for you and you aren't missing anything. That is why each month has a little different numbers of fabrics. We did make one change and added a little something extra for next month as a gift from us... but that is a surprise for later :)
