Gluten-Free Pasta Suggestion

Another product that I love is TruRoots Ancient Grain Penne Pasta. I know I haven't had wheat pasta in more than four years, but to me this gluten-free pasta tastes like the REAL thing. My mom really likes it as well. We're both 100% Italian and picky foodies too:) You can find it online or in store. I have bought it at Shaw's grocery stores. They make penne, elbows, fusilli and spaghetti.

UnFlame

Some time ago my mom and I were invited to be guests on Dr. Hedaya's monthly lunch and learn program. The 30 minute discussion about the diet and our book can be heard on his web site.

I discovered that Dr. Hedaya formulated an anti-inflammatory supplement – Unflame – that can help with aches and pains. I thankfully do not have pain so don't need it, but my husband has a lot of hip pain secondary to a congenital condition so we ordered it for him.

The effects have been miraculous. He feels so strongly about the product that he, a physical therapist, has recommended it to his colleagues.

The doctor has a short video where he discusses how he came up with the formula and why it works. He offers a free sample and money-back guarantee. I know that many Lyme patients suffer from pain so wanted to share this in hopes that it could help you too.

Maple Walnut Shortbread Cookies

For those of you who are dairy-free, we now have a revised recipe for the Maple Walnut Shortbread Cookies. In place of the 1/2 cup of butter, use 1/2 cup palm shortening. All the other ingredients remain the same. In step 6, "Refrigerate the dough log for about 30 minutes, or until firm," it will likely take longer than 30 minutes for the dough to become firm. These cookies are also gluten- and egg-free.
