Keynote speaker announced!
We’re thrilled to announce that award winning film director and energy pioneer, Josh Tickell, has confirmed that he will be the Keynote Speaker on the morning of May 29th at the Advanced Biofuels Symposium. He directed the documentary film, “Fuel”, which won the Best Documentary Award at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival. After it was shortlisted for an Oscar, the movie was screened in the White House and influenced the Obama Administration in the roll out of its $28 Billion dollar new energy program that transformed the global markets for algae, fuel and solar power.

Progress reports due March 31st!
You can now submit your BFN progress report on our new Member Portal. BFN’s new online system is a big improvement on the previous method. You will now easily be able to update your reports online, rather than starting from scratch each time, and  have multiple people contribute to your progress report. Please note that BFN is no longer accepting Microsoft Word or PDF versions.

Building Biogas Knowledge Events Next Week

Don't miss out on valuable discussions at the Building Biogas Knowledge Workshop and Tours! The featured dinner speaker is Wayne Davis of the American Biogas Council, who played a key role in bringing together a range of stakeholders to improve access to feedstock - a critical move for the biogas sector.

The two workshop streams each tackle relevant topics for new developers, and for existing developers. These include extensive discussion of feedstock issues, technology options, navigating approvals, financial considerations, maintaining your investment, and more.

Join the Biogas Association on April 3rd at the Holiday Inn, in Guelph for the workshop, and April 4th for a tour of three area biogas systems. For information and to register, visit: www.biogasassociation.ca/knowledge
