Showcasing the beauty of the human spirit - in mid air - around the world

“If you do follow your bliss you put yourself on a kind of track that has been there all the while, waiting for you, and the life that you ought to be living is the one you are living. Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid, and doors will open where you didn’t know they were going to be.” - Joseph Campbell

Hope you are having a wonderful day so far :)

Before presenting Esther Lee, my fabulous featured jumper of the week, I would love to share this wonderful write up about my project in the
Radical Self Love Project
.....

Also, a quick note to let you know that things are moving forward with Murality, and I'm in the midst of putting together a Kickstarter campaign to fund the materials to create a large scale public art mural from photos of people jumping around Vancouver. More to come on this project soon.

Featured jumper of the week: ESTHER LEELike Jump for Joy! Featuring Esther Lee on Facebook

ESTHER LEE ...

From: I was born in Surrey, but grew up in East Vancouver.
Lives: I just recently moved to Kits and I love it.
Work: Im going through some transitions in my career path but ultimately my work will be my passion.

Q: What inspires you to jump for joy?
A:
It makes everything stop hurting; physical, mental and emotional. An instant burst of happiness. I cant jump without smiling.

Q. Your experience doing jumping photos?
A:
I was eager to jump around and wishing I had the power to make the rain stop. I felt free and open.

Q: What inspires you in life?
A:
Wisdom and learned life lessons from older generations who are happy and content with their lives now. Living without any regrets. I don't want to look back and think I "should have, could have, would have".

Q: Your greatest passion?
A:
Triathlons. Swimming. Biking. Running. Racing. I am truly joyful when I train and race. It's something I started doing because I wanted to do it. No one told me or forced me. No one made me feel guilty for doing or not doing this. There were no conditions or hidden motives. It's just pure joy.

Q: Your driving force?
A:
To be happy. There are too many unhappy, grumpy, dissatisfied and miserable people. I want to enjoy and appreciate life.

Q: Your philosophy?
A:
 Be joyful.

Q: Anything in the world?
A: Train. Race. Travel. Live my life. Take risks. Have no regrets. Love life.

I train so that I can race. I race in different locations so that I can travel. (Even when I race in Vancouver, I still feel like I've travelled because the routes are so unique: trails in the North Shore, on the streets vs sidewalks, etc) Im living my own life and not the life that someone else thinks I should be living. Im making key life decisions where I don't know what the outcome will be but because of these different paths I've chosen to take, I wont look back at my life and think 'I should have....' I'm living my life 'outside the box' It scares me sometimes, but I love every minute of it.

Q: Working on?
A: I've thought about going pro in triathlon but for now I'm happy trying to build my race career up as an amateur age group athlete. I found that I have an infectiously positive energy when I race. I have a unique ability to jump and leap during races and yet still finish well. I'm trying to see how I can develop this. I have a website in it's infancy, but it is not ready to go live yet

Q: Mini bio, interesting facts about you or something special you want to share.
A:
When I first started racing 8 years ago, I was happy just finishing. I finished my first Ironman in 2008. I started getting faster. I did another Ironman triathlon. And then another. I kept getting faster. I started to podium in the shorter distance triathlons.

I would jokingly say that I wanted to race the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii but it wouldn't be until I was 80 because I would have qualified by default, being the only female in my age group. I also had a wild dream that I could finish 5 Ironman distance triathlons before I turned 30. On August 25th 2013 I finished 3rd in my age group at Ironman Canada and qualified for the World Championship. On October 12 2013, at the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii I finished my 5th Ironman. I'll be 30 on May 13th 2014. -- Triathlons. It's not a hobby, it's a lifestyle; it's a love.
