"I'd really like to have MORE ANXIETY in my life. . ."
Said NO ONE. EVER.
Most people recognize the presence of anxiety in their lives, and most people would agree that less is better. While a little anxiety can be motivational and energizing, anxiety as an unrelenting condition of daily life can have far-reaching effects on your body. Muscle tension, headaches, stomach upset, insomnia, shortness of breath, and heart palpitations can result from anxiety. We can get into a pattern where our anxious state actually invokes these symptoms. The good news is, we also have the power to reduce them!
I am so excited to introduce you to my dear friend and colleague,
Fariya Doctor. She is a Registered Massage Therapist, a
Feldenkrais teacher, and the driving force behind
FELDENKRAIS NIAGRA in St. Catharine's Ontario, Canada. Fariya will be in Houston on Saturday, April 26, to present a special workshop in which she will share her body-centered approach to anxiety management. Her broad experience makes her a passionate and engaging teacher with many insights to share.
This
Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement(R) workshop will leave you feeling calm, strong, springy, and safe. You will learn to manage your fight-flight responses with gentle movements that calm your nervous system and build resilience.
We have within us the capacity to learn to survive and thrive. Join us for this unique learning opportunity!
