Bill Gates said, "We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten."
We do the same thing with our days. We overestimate what we can do in a week and underestimate what we can do in a year. The lucky thing about this phenomenon is that by taking small, frequent actions, we can accomplish far more than we thought we could.
What's your goal for 2014 and more importantly, what are you doing about it today?
The tinier the step, the better. If it's small, it might actually get done. If it gets done - and then so does the next day's tiny step, and the next - well, then you have momentum going.
You can do anything with enough momentum. The challenge is to get the ball rolling in the first place.
