A Note from Pastor Oren

Dear FBC Family,

This is a spiritually packed week for us. I want to encourage you to participate in all that we have offered. There is never a more uplifting, convicting, and spiritually helpful week of the year than Holy Week. Join us for lunch this week at our sister churches in Baton Rouge for the BAGBR Holy Week lunches.  Check the website www.fbcbr.com for more information. I also want to encourage you to join us Wednesday night for a time of prayer and meditation on scripture as we pray for one another and for the lost of our city.

Friday night will be a particularly special night as we spend time together at the foot of the cross. We will begin at 5:45 with a time of personal repentance and confession before the service begins at 6pm. As we gather to remember the death of Jesus as our substitute and Savior, we must come before him with hearts purified and open to his Spirit. Please enter this time of worship with reverence and quiet.

Finally, we will join together this Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. There is no greater message of hope and promise than the declaration of the Risen Lord. I want to encourage you all to invite someone to worship with us Sunday. Whether it be a neighbor, co-worker, family member, or unchurched friend, please take a moment to invite them to worship on Easter Sunday.

I look forward to all that we have before us this week. I am praying that your life is blessed this week in all that we have planned.

In Christ,
Pastor Oren
