The sign-up deadline for both MIX and MOVE is this Monday, April 21st.
Worship services continue each Sunday morning at Eastside on Eighth. You can join us at 9:00am at the CASI Building, 1613 East 8th Street in Jeffersonville. Worship is led by a rotating group from Eastside's Worship Band. A message from God's Word is shared by Outreach Minister, David Parkerson. Children's Worship is provided for grades K through 5.
We will be holding the First Pointe of Pathway again on the first two weekends in May. Pathway is a step-by-step process that helps a person move toward being a fully developed follower of Jesus. The program is built around three pointes - each developing practical ways to connect to Christ and His Church. If you are new to Eastside and want to know more about becoming a Christian or a member at Eastside, First Pointe of Pathway is that place to start! Sign up at the iPad station.

If you are a member at Eastside and have not had the chance to attend First Pointe yet, we would encourage you to do so during May. Pathway is important for all our members to attend. By going through each of the Pointes, you will be reminded and encouraged about the things that are important in becoming a Christian and growing in the Christian walk. When newer attenders ask about becoming a Christian, or how to better connect at Eastside, you will have confidence in pointing them to Pathway because you have been through it yourself.

If you have already been through the First Pointe of Pathway, the Second Pointe will be offered during the first two weekends in May. We encourage you to attend either on the first two Thursdays or Sundays of the month of May. Second Pointe will meet in Classroom B.

The Adult Bible Studies will not meet during the first two weeks of May in order to allow that group of people to attend Pathway. Adult Bible Studies will resume on Sunday, May 18th.
We have started a ministry to help the members of Eastside with financial assistance in times of need. This ministry was born out the book of Act in the New Testament. Our desire here is to help carry our brothers and sisters in Christ through difficult times that come around. The MEAN ministry will be a group of individuals who come together for this common cause: Help other members in need. The only thing required is an email address and a desire to care for members in our church.

Here is how it will work:
1. Someone calls or emails us with a need (electric bill, gas bill, or help with rent etc.).
2. Dave Parkerson will send an email out to those members who have signed up for MEAN.
3. The email will request a set amount of people and money for the situation. i.e. The person owes 220 for their electric or it will get shut off.

The email will read:
Jon Doe has been laid off and looking for a new job, unfortunately he hasn't been able to find work. He needs 220 to pay his electric bill or his electric will get shut off. I am looking for 22 people willing to donate $10 to help John Doe take care of this bill. If you can help reply to this email and go online to donate at discovereastside.com give online tab.

4. When the set amount of help has been reached David Parkerson will send a followup email to let the MEAN group know that the need has been taken care of.

This is the heart of MEAN Ministry. We want our church community to have opportunities to help and care for each other.
