Don't you love conference season?
I haven't yet figured out how to make a living attending conferences, so I still have to wedge my favorites in between other projects. There have been some good ones so far though.
NetGain 8.0 was super, and I've included a brief summary of the highlights that you can download as a PDF.
The Merlien Qual360 conference was held in North America for the first time, and I was pleased to be invited to both speak, and also chair of one day of the event.
There are so many new online qualitative platforms that it can be hard to know what's really going on under the covers. In my presentation, A Journey into Online Qualitative Research, I tried to de-mystify the approaches as well as highlight some strengths and weaknesses. Here's the deck: Download. If you'd like a presentation for your team or work-group, please get in touch.
Upcoming, I'm looking forward to presenting at the Worldwide Conference on Qualitative Research in Budapest. Several of my Think Global Qualitative colleagues will also be presenting, As a group, we've also been very involved with our Good Dog Project (see sidebar.)
Online qualitative
Online qualitative has been very top of mind these last few months during the writing of an upcoming book on the topic. Jennifer Dale, my co-author and I popped a virtual cork when we got our manuscript off to the publisher, Paramount Books.
It's not the kind of thing that I expect to retire on (ha ha), but we are both pretty passionate on this topic, and excited to create something we hope will be a foundation for others. I'll keep you posted about the publication date.
