To promote community within our church body and help people get to know one another, each week we highlight a family or individual from the Trinity Church family.

Meet John and Jane Phillips: John and Jane Phillips have been members at Trinity for several years. John, originally a carpenter and cabinet maker by trade, has ....Read More.

Missions: Please continue to pray Mike and Julie Kelly who serve with Nations, a Campus Crusade ministry born out of a need to effectively bring Christ to Native American students. Mike serves full-time as the national director for the ministry. Pray for Mike as he works with Natives to reach their fellow Indian students by helping them learn what it means to be Native and a follower of Christ.  Pray for Julie as she mentors a group of Native women and that God will use in their lives the workshops she conducts each week.

Stay Connected:  Visit the church web site  at trinitybozeman.org from your computer or mobile device. You can listen to sermons you missed, read newsletter archives, check the upcoming events calendar, and learn more about the ministries we support. To sign up for the prayer list, email Sarah Veltkamp.

Growth Groups: Growth groups provide an important way to practice Christ’s “one another” commands in a smaller group setting of our church community. They will meet on a variety of days/evenings when they start up again this month. If you haven’t been participating in a growth group, prayerfully consider joining one. For more information, see the list of growth groups and contact one of the leaders.

Church Announcements

Good Friday Service: Fri, Apr 18, 6 PM, at Petra Academy. Tenebrae Service (Latin word for ‘shadows’) is a prolonged meditation on Christ’s suffering. The Scripture readings trace the story of Christ’s passion, the music portrays his pathos, and the power of silence and darkness display the drama of this momentous event. As lights are extinguished, we ponder the depth of Christ’s suffering and death. Good Friday is not a funeral for Jesus or a type of re-enactment. It is a day of repentance and a sustained reflection upon Christ’s sacrifice of atonement.

Easter: Sun, April 20. There will be no discipleship classes or children's worship training on Easter Sunday. They will resume on April 27.

Out of Office: Pastors Bryan, Jeff, and Scott, and Elder John Ward will be attending Presbytery in Colorado next week.

Glimpses of Grace: Mon, April 28, 7:15 PM. Trinity women, please plan to join us for our next Glimpses of Grace gathering on Monday, April 28, at 7:15pm at Barbara Pravetz's home (235 Water Lily Dr). Kathy Tyers will be sharing her story.

Trinity Ball: Sat, May 3, 7 PM. Come for a grand time of English Country Dancing. For ages 12 and older. For more information and to register, visit cometotheball.com.

Love INC Dinner: May 6. The 19th Annual “Plant the Seed” Dinner and Silent Auction is May 6. Call 587-6395 to become a table host.

Men’s Event: May 16-17. Men of Trinity, mark your calendars for May 16 and 17. We invite you to come and share in this intentional time that we are setting aside to build unity and fellowship together as Christian men and connect over the things we love to do, fishing, biking, hunting, hiking, etc. Please contact Scott Herron (scott@trinitybozeman.org) or Tim Canning (timothy.canning@gmail.com) to register for with questions.

Nicaragua Missions Trip:  June 6-13, 2014. A group from Trinity will be traveling to Nicaragua to work with missionaries Robbie and Murray Lathrop at the Pineapples of Peace farm. To support the trip: 1) Give through eGiving from trinitybozeman.org (select the "Missions" category) or 2) Mark "Nicaragua" on the memo line of a check placed in the offering.  Money collected through both avenues will be divided evenly between the team members.

Annual Backpacking Trip: July 18-20, 2014. Mark your calendars now. Contact Pastor Bryan for more information.

Sunday Refreshments:
You are needed for Sunday morning after-church refreshments (on non-potluck days). There is an online sign-up form. Thank you for you serving the church family in this way. Talk to Rhonda Mattson with questions (451.6571).

Children's Prayer Partners:

One idea is to choose a day and every week on that day pray for the child(ren) for whom you have committed to pray.

This week:

Joshua 1:6 Pray that the child (you pray for) will be strong and courageous in the Lord’s work.

Families: Let your child(ren)'s prayer partner(s) know what you see happening in your child(ren)'s lives.

Individuals praying: Make a point to connect with the child at church (that you pray for), so that they come to know you as their friend who cares about them.

If you’d be willing to commit to pray for a child throughout their youth, we’d love to have your participation. Talk to Renée DeGroot or email her at renee.degroot@gmail.com to be matched with a child.
