Discernment Seminar   (Various other messages in this series to be posted as time allows)

Audio covers numerous subjects including the coming One-world global spirituality, Interfaithism, the Roman Catholic Church, Ecumenism, counterfeit Christian Word Faith leaders, false teachers, false prophets, the coming Antichrist, the Christian's responsibility to be biblically discerning, and more.
The above message is from an old discernment seminar that I did back in September, October and November of 1999. Although this is an older message the Bible prophecy and discernment content still applies today - more than ever!  Back then I was serving as a young Calvary Chapel pastor and trying my best to equip believers with expositional Bible studies and with biblical discernment principles. All went well until I started exposing deception within the church.

Nowadays, almost 15 years later, I am observing many Christians (and numerous former colleagues) embracing things, and/or allowing things in their lives and/or churches and ministries that I never in a million years would have imagined they would have - like Ecumenism (i.e., failure to correct and/or separate from Word faith teachers, the RCC, etc.), "Christianized" New Age practices, Christian Yoga, aberrant and false doctrines, "book studies" that include popular Christian authors known for aberrant and false teachings (contemplative spirituality, mysticism), etc. If only many back then had listened more.

Although I have warned many people through the years and sought to lead many people to Jesus Christ and His truth, very few people, compared to the amount I have talked to, seem to care at all. Jesus said it would be this way!:
  • "If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:18-19).
It is sad to see people shutting their eyes and ears to God's truth, and even blatantly turning away from the words and warnings of Jesus Himself and the words and warnings of His "Watchmen."  End-times biblical discernment is down-played, studying Bible prophecy is mocked, exposing deception in the church is considered "divisive," telling Christians that Yoga cannot be Christianized is considered legalistic, and warning leaders (and their wives) about false teachers within one's own "denomination" is tantamount to being "mean" and "unloving" and "judgmental."

Does Jesus just expect Christians to be more undiscerning than anyone else? Of course not, for as John the Apostle declared, "many false prophets have gone out into the world" (1 John 4:1). Jesus Himself said:
  • "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:21-23)
Well, I will continue warning of spiritual dangers, both outside and inside the church, and I will continue to speak the truth in love to all who will listen. I do hope you enjoy (and share) the audio message(s), even though the older ones are a bit dated.

For those of you who want to hear more of the older audio messages, I do have about 30 more of them. Each message takes between 2-6 hours to produce as quite a few of the old cassettes tapes are in poor condition and need extensive editing. As time allows I will digitize, convert, edit and post these online.

Oh that Christians would be edified and strengthened in their faith, and that non-believers would come to personally know the biblical Jesus of Nazareth and all that He has down for them, even so much as laying down His very own life for them:
  • "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:6-10)
Because He saved me...
