Do you wonder what it is like to live "in the shadows," without the full legal protection American citizens take for granted? This is the reality for tens of thousands of aspiring immigrants in the Bay Area—and the International Institute of the Bay Area (IIBA) wants to change that.

We at IIBA, together with Bay Area communities, help individuals improve their lives and gain greater economic security by obtaining legal status, including citizenship. As someone who follows this cause, you can play a critical part in our efforts. Between now and May 6, 2014, in partnership with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, we are holding an online fundraiser to raise $50,000 to expand our services and help more individuals realize the American Dream.
