Here's some of the exciting special events we have coming up at this year's festival...
Brass Dance
To celebrate Cornwall's tradition of dancing to brass music, we've teamed up with stomping seven piece party band Lost in Space to present a dance event which explores what this tradition means in the 21st century. With a full brass line up, Lost in Space play funky ska, gypsy ska and retro groves sure to get you up and dancing on the Saturday night! Project funded by FEAST
Singing for Dancing Project
Over 200 performers from local community choirs and dance teams will come together for a special commission by the Cornish Dance Society, looking at the tradition of singing for dancing in Cornwall. Funded by The Big Lottery Fund and FEAST.

Day of Piping
'National Uillean Piping Day' will be marked over the festival weekend, and we're celebrating with a veritable feast of piping on Sunday. Enjoy local Uillean Pipes virtuoso Alan Burton with his band Tyna Daga in the afternoon, along with the traditional bombard and biniou of Fortuna from Brittany. And in the evening you simply cannot afford to miss Scottish piping legends Ross Ainslie and Jarlath Henderson, who'll be seeing out this year's festival in style. This is their only gig south of Exeter for their new album tour!

Kernow ha Cymru
A lovely opportunity to compare the Cornish and Welsh languages in a choral setting. Catch The Perraners, Keur Heb Hanow and Cor Cwm Ni in concert on Sunday.
Jim Causley & Lukas Drinkwater
BBC Radio 2 Folk Award nominee Jim Causley is joined by guitarist Lukas Drinkwater to commemorate the celebrated Cornish poet Charles Causley, with music set to music his poems. Our opening night concert on Thursday 16th October.
Beach Ceilidh
Back once again on the Sunday morning. Blow out the cobwebs with this fun event on Perranporth's beautiful beach.
