EARLY ANSWER to Prayer Request - Appointment in Office of the First Lady
Wow! Last night and today, we received over 100 emails from you, sending your prayers! Never had that level of quick TEAM response before! Then again, guess I’ve never had THAT kind of request to share either!
Here’s an early answer to the on-going status. More to come after our Girls Event this weekend.
Today’s meeting with the Assistant in the First Lady’s office was a presentation opportunity. We KNOW we already made the “first cut”. The assistant, Sra. Raiza, will compile her report to send to higher ups for further analysis and decision.
The GOOD News (according to the First Lady’s assistant):
- Our ministry has been at this long term
- We have a great project proposal
- It fits nicely with their existent projects
- We are working in INTERIOR towns in the country
- She was impressed by our video of the Authentic Chic event in March! (coming to you next week after English edits...)
The TO PRAY ABOUT News:
- Only so much funding available
- Will choose only the top project proposal(s)
- May take a few months for them to decide
OTHER Amazing CONNECTIONS in 24 hours due to the appointment in the First Lady’s Office:
- Found out that a respected brother from our church now works in the First Lady’s office (was requested to join her team this past year). He previously worked for a humanitarian non-profit and has been familiar with our ministry for years. His connection may help!
- A friend and mentor has given us direct contact with the Director of the Solidarity Project in the Vice-President’s office to whom our proposal was turned over a few weeks ago. Our mentor will also put in a “good word” – since they are respected colleagues who work together on many government affairs.
- Another organization has requested to view our project proposal.
