Food For Thought
how diet profoundly affects the brain
with
Anita Rossiter

Sat 19th April 2014

2-5 pm Community Learning Centre
Penguin Primary School 105 Ironcliffe Rd Penguin

$5 members $7 others ( afternoon tea included )

This follows on from her first presentation "Food for Healing" in Burnie with Dr. Gary "No Fructose" Fetke which sold out to 140 people and was a great success.

Learn how what we eat can cause brain inflammation and explore the mind-gut connection in Autism. Recent research is unravelling the human microbiome - the vast array of  'non-self' cells that live in symbiosis within us, modulating our health and communicating with our nervous system along a two way signallling system called the gut-brain axisNot just autism related  - If you value your wetware you won't want to miss this!

Anita works in nuclear medicine, has two science degrees and is currently studying both wellness coaching and a masters in nutrition. Anita has had an amazing personal health journey, healing her diabetes and metabolic syndrome through diet and helping her daughter to overcome multiple ear infections and the subsequent learning issues.

Lately I've been rapt listening to
Dr Ginger Cambell's brainscience podcast  ( highly reccomended  - the most recent 25 episodes are free ) So I'm now extra thrilled that Anita accepted my invitation to talk to Astrotas about her experiences. It's a busy life with three young kids and we really appreciate her commitment to coming to Astro at Easter. I'm attempting to lift my catering efforts to match. (recipes ideas )

Unfortunately Gerald Makin ( the Endless Thread - February ) is still in Burnie hospital. He's unlikely to be attending a book signing anytime soon so I guess you could visit him if you purchased a copy and want it signed. He is well enough to have visitors and finding it's a bit tedious being stuck in there. It should cheer him to see his fans! I'll pass another card for him around at the meeting.
see you there - Happy Easter :)
